The Upper Owens begins as a spring creek
near the campground at Big Springs. From
there it twists and turns for nearly thirty
miles before dumping into Crowley Lake.
This river is known for its large lake run
Rainbows and Browns in the spring and fall
while the hatchery fish above Benton
Crossing provide year round action. The
Owens is another excellent water for the
novice angler and lends itself to dries,
nymphs and streamers.
