GUIDES
Andrew Sears, professional fly fishing guide/owner welcomes you to Walker River Outfitters. Our goal is to provide you with an exceptional fly fishing experience. From beginner to advanced, we can help customize a trip to exceed your expectations. Whether you want to hunt for trophy browns on the East Walker or chase wild trout in the back country, we will make your experience a memorable one. As well as being guides, we are dedicated fly fishermen on the river every day to ensure we know how to provide you with the best day possible. We practice catch and release to help protect our “business partners.” In addition to our guide services, we can help plan your vacation. We understand not everyone is an angler so if your friends and family are looking for something to do while you’re out catching your dream, let us know and we can help. The Mammoth Lakes-Bridgeport area has lots to offer the non-angler from hiking, skiing, biking, dining and much more.
Please take some time to check out our site and thank you for visiting Walker River Outfitters.
We hope to see you on the river.

SCOTT FREEMAN
Guide/Instructor
Licensed and Bonded
Scott moved to South Lake Tahoe in 1989 and fell in love with the Eastern Sierra. In 1996, Scott started fighting fires for the US Forest Service and in his off time discovered fly fishing. Fighting fires for a living allowed Scott plenty of time to be in the water fishing various hot spots. In 1998, Scott happened onto the East Walker River and didn't leave for two months. After doing a 3 year tour for the USFS in Redding, and logging his 200 plus days a year on the Upper and Lower Sac, the Pitt, McCloud, and Trinity, Scott is now back living in Redding. Contact Scott directly if you are interested in fishing one of the Northern California rivers.
STEVE CURRAN
Guide/Instructor
Licensed and Bonded
Steve fell in love with the Eastern Sierra as a kid and spent several years fishing and adventuring in the area during his youth. After moving to the area full time in 1999 he discovered fly fishing and continues to follow his passion daily on the beautiful surrounding waters. His enthusiasm for chasing big fish or passing on his knowledge to first time fly anglers always makes any day spent on the water a memorable one. When he's not fishing Steve spends quite a bit of time at the vise tying custom flies, exploring the back country and spending time with his family. Whether you're an absolute beginner or a seasoned fisherman looking for an epic day Steve has the patience, knowledge and enthusiasm to make it an amazing experience.
