Hot Creek is one of our favorite pieces of water. This small spring creek boasts one of the highest concentrations of wild trout in the country. It is located east of the Town of Mammoth Lakes. Famous for its hatches, Hot Creek consistently produces some of the best dry fly action in the area. From beginner to expert, Hot Creek has something for everyone. Wading is unnecessary and the shear numbers of fish make your odds pretty good. Hot Creek is open all year to catch and release barbless flies. Don't forget this is a great winter fishery!
